Lakeside Logistics is bullfrogpowered™

First logistics company to sign on with Bullfrog Power

Toronto, September 21, 2007 — Bullfrog Power™, a leading Canadian provider of 100 per cent green electricity, today announced that Lakeside Logistics, an Oakville-based company that provides supply chain and transportation management services across North America, has become bullfrogpowered. Lakeside has agreed to purchase clean, renewable power for its corporate office, joining the growing list of Canadian businesses and organizations that are showing their support for the supply and development of green power.

"The transportation sector generates about one third of Canada's greenhouse gas emissions. At Lakeside Logistics, we want to take responsible actions to help to reduce these emissions. Our goal is to lead by example in the logistics industry by decreasing our environmental footprint," said Susan Moore, Lakeside's Director of Sustainability. "By being the first logistics company to source our power from Bullfrog, we are demonstrating to our employees, customers and carriers that we are making concrete changes to decrease our footprint."

Lakeside Logistics embarked on its environmental program in early 2007, formalizing its efforts under the Vision Green banner. The program includes working with carriers and customers to support Lakeside's efforts to reduce environmental impacts. In its goal to become carbon neutral by the end of the year, Lakeside has enacted several programs, including replacing its carrier relations vehicle with a hybrid electric car, eliminating bottled water from its facility, switching to FSC-certified paper, and setting computers to shut down when not in use. Becoming bullfrogpowered is another important step in that plan.

"We want to congratulate Lakeside Logistics for embarking on a path to more sustainable operations and for taking a position of leadership in the logistics industry," said Bullfrog President Tom Heintzman. "By becoming bullfrogpowered, Lakeside is not only reducing its emissions footprint, it is also contributing toward the development of new green power in the province."
