Storage Spot is bullfrogpowered™
First storage company to green its facilities with Bullfrog Power™
Toronto, November 21, 2007 — Bullfrog Power, a leading Canadian provider of 100 per cent green electricity, today announced that Storage Spot Canada, a Milton, Ontario-based company that provides indoor personal and business storage, has become bullfrogpowered. Storage Spot Canada has agreed to purchase clean, renewable power for its storefronts in Milton and a soon-to-be-opened store in Burlington, joining the growing list of Canadian businesses and organizations that are showing their support for the supply and development of green power.
"We need to do all we can to reduce our carbon footprint as a company and as a corporate citizen in the communities in which we operate," said Declan Sinclair, President of Storage Spot Canada. "Sourcing our power from Bullfrog demonstrates to our employees, customers and business partners that we are making concrete changes to decrease our footprint; it is the right thing to do."
Storage Spot began its environmental program in early 2005 as part of its initial business plan, formalizing its efforts under its corporate citizenship mandate. The program includes working with business partners and service providers who support the company’s efforts to reduce environmental impacts locally. The company’s facilities use motion controls that turn on the building systems only when someone is using the building. Storage Spot has also partnered with large-scale recycling and reuse programs that benefit the local community. Becoming bullfrogpowered is another important step in the company’s sustainability plan.
