LaserNetworks is bullfrogpowered™
Leading print fleet management firm chooses green power
Toronto, March 14, 2008 — Bullfrog Power™, a leading Canadian provider of 100 per cent green electricity, today announced that LaserNetworks, a leading North American firm providing management and support solutions to print fleet services, has become bullfrogpowered. LaserNetworks has agreed to purchase clean, renewable power for its Oakville, Ontario, operations, joining the growing list of Canadian businesses and organizations that are choosing green power.
“LaserNetworks is committed to green business principles that are beneficial for the environment, customers and employees,” said Chris Stoate, President, LaserNetworks. “Our partnership with Bullfrog Power brings us one step closer to our goal of significantly reducing our environmental impact.”
LaserNetworks provides print and fleet management solutions for organizations across North America. Its environmental program is focused on the recycling and remanufacturing of toner cartridges. Each year, LaserNetworks diverts over 250 tonnes of waste from landfills through its toner cartridge recycling program. The organization is committed to measurable energy conservation targets and provides employee transportation incentives as part of its commitment to environmentally responsible business practices.
LaserNetworks recently introduced its main manufactured product, the Reflexion toner cartridge. This environmentally friendly cartridge is manufactured with strict production and environmental standards, including bleach-free and recycled packaging. The cartridges are made in North America to limit transportation-related emissions. According to the company, an independent study found that Reflexion toner cartridges reduce CO2 emissions by 74 per cent and provide energy savings of 70 per cent compared to single-use, disposable cartridges.
“We are very pleased that LaserNetworks has decided to green its operations by signing on with Bullfrog Power,” said Tom Heintzman, President, Bullfrog Power. “Businesses like LaserNetworks have become part of a community of over five hundred organizations that are taking practical steps to reduce their environmental footprint and clean the air for future generations.”
