Waterkeeper Alliance Fundraiser Gala
to be bullfrogpowered™
Calgary, January 18, 2008 — When Hollywood celebrities converge for the closing gala of The Fairmont Banff Springs Sports Invitational this weekend, in support of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s Waterkeeper Alliance, the event will be bullfrogpowered with 100 per cent green electricity.
The gala, which takes place in the Van Horne Ballroom, located in the Conference Centre at The Fairmont Banff Springs, will raise funds for Waterkeeper Alliance, an international network that works to protect communities, ecosystems and water quality around the world. Waterkeeper Alliance has partnered with Bullfrog Power™, a leading Canadian provider of 100 per cent green electricity, to reduce the event’s environmental impact by matching the electricity used for the event with clean, made-in-Alberta wind power.
