Committed to providing an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional offset printing, Warren’s Waterless is Canada’s only dedicated waterless printer. Warren’s mission is one that resonates strongly with anyone who cares about the environment: to implement environmental or sustainable developmental practices that meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.

That’s where their waterless printing process really makes a difference. With modifications to printing presses and plates, the waterless process has eliminated the need for the “fountain” solution, which is an integral part of conventional offset printing. Removing the fountain solution from the printing process eliminates ecological drain waste and allows Warren's to conserve an estimated 66,000 to 78,000 litres of water annually – all without sacrificing any quality in the printing process. In fact, this innovative and environmentally friendly printing approach allows Warren's to print at significantly higher line screens, resulting in superior detail and clarity in the printed image.

Warren’s accomplishments have not gone unnoticed. Along with winning an impressive lineup of commercial and non-profit clients, Warren’s has earned many prestigious awards and certifications for its environmental record. In 2004, Warren’s won the prestigious CCME Award for Pollution Prevention. In 1998, Warren’s received its EcoLogoM certification from the Environmental Choice Program, and later that year became the first printer in Canada to achieve the prestigious ISO 14001 Certificate. Warrens is also one of the few printers in North America certified to offer FSC stocks. The Forest Stewardship Council governs the viable management of the world’s forests, and permits the use of the FSC logo on any literature that is printed on FSC certified stock. Warren's is also a member of the Waterless Printing Association.
